In addition to providing standard testing in accordance with ASTM or CSA methods, our Advanced Testing Laboratory excels in providing customized challenge-driven testing to solve difficult problems through a research and development process. Our geotechnical specialists and scientists have expertise in advanced soil mechanics, soil physics, and unsaturated soil technology. Our geochemical specialists have expertise in material characterization and project-specific testing. We have conducted customized testing on a wide range of materials including tailings, oil sands, coke and coal, waste rocks, soft and hard rock, soil-bentonite backfills, slurries, potash, sulphur, peat, and fly-ash.
Our laboratory is constantly innovating and developing new testing equipment and test methods for solving new and difficult problems. Ours is a problem-solving laboratory, and there is no material testing project that is too large or complicated.
