We are currently seeking Senior Geotechnical Engineers to join the team in Vancouver.
|
| |
|
Reporting to the Vice-President, Geotechnical Services, the Senior Geotechnical Engineer holds a managerial role in a wide variety of geotechnical and/or geoenvironmental projects in one of our western Canadian offices.
|
| |
Qualifications:
| • |
University degree in Geological, Geotechnical or Civil Engineering with a minimum of seven (7) years relevant experience in a consulting environment as a senior project manager. A post graduate degree is highly desirable; |
| • |
Willing to work extended and irregular hours within western Canada; |
| • |
Currently registered or eligible to register as a Professional Engineer; |
| • |
Ability to work on multiple projects and meet established deadlines; |
| • |
Effective interpersonal skills, a strong client-service focus and the ability to work in a team environment are essential; |
| • |
Strong report writing and verbal communication skills in the English language; and |
| • |
Valid driver's licence with a clean driving abstract. |

Job Duties:
| • |
Evaluating and applying engineering techniques, procedures and criteria to assist in engineering design, data analysis of geotechnical and geoenvironmental investigations, construction engineering and project management; |
| • |
Perform, guide and conduct senior review of detailed engineering analysis, design and reporting for assigned projects; |
| • |
Designing and conducting field investigations, site investigations, remediation, compliance and technical reports; |
| • |
Managing and mentoring a team of professional and technical staff assigned on a project basis; |
| • |
Business development, including liaising with clients and stakeholders with the goal of building and maintaining strong working relationships. |
