Location: Saskatoon, SK Job Type: Full-Time Salary: To be negotiated Job Description: Reporting to the AutoCAD Supervisor, this position is member of a seven-person AutoCAD team, providing drafting services to engineers and other technical staff. The primary responsibilities will include: Preparing civil engineering drawings for mining, transportation and environmental projects with AutoCAD and Civil 3D Preparing plan and profile, grading and cross section drawings for roadways/dykes projects Preparing conceptual presentation drawings and report figures Preparing borehole logs and geological cross-sections Coordinating project drawings with project managers, technical staff and others Ensuring that the projects’ needs are met in a timely and effective manner Completing earthwork quantity analyses Assisting in the completion of technical design reports May be some work with air photos Job Requirements: The incumbent will possess a technical or applied science degree or diploma, along with 0-5 years of related experience with AutoCAD 2008 or higher. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Experience with MS Office suite including Word and PowerPoint are required. Advanced Excel skills are essential. Some exposure to Civil 3D or other earthworks software would be an asset. Preference will be given to those candidates possessing civil projects experience. This position will be of interest to someone possessing both strong communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills. The willingness and proven ability to work in a team atmosphere and the ability to demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments is essential. The incumbent will be highly organized, and will be able to prioritize multiple tasks while demonstrating significant attention to detail.
