Senior Geotechnical Engineers

MDH Engineered Solutions Corp., member of SNC-Lavalin Group (TSX:SNC), is an engineering consulting firm providing solutions to geoenvironmental, geotechnical, hydrogeological, and environmental problems. We have offices in Saskatoon, Regina, Prince Albert, Edmonton, Fort McMurray, and Esterhazy. Research, generation of new knowledge, and development of new technology provide the edge that keeps the company involved in major projects in Canada and internationally. The nature of our project experience spans mining, industrial, and municipal waste management, hydrogeology, geology and water resource studies, natural resource development, and environmental protection.

As a result of tremendous growth, we are seeking Senior Geotechnical Engineers to join the team in our offices in Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Regina and Vancouver.

Reporting to the Vice-President, Geotechnical Services, the Senior Geotechnical Engineer holds a managerial role in a wide variety of geotechnical and/or geoenvironmental projects in one of our western Canadian offices.

Responsibilities:

•	Evaluating and applying engineering techniques, procedures and criteria to assist in engineering design, data analysis of geotechnical and geoenvironmental investigations, construction engineering and project management;
•	Perform, guide and conduct senior review of detailed engineering analysis, design and reporting for assigned projects;
•	Designing and conducting field investigations, site investigations, remediation, compliance and technical reports;
•	Managing and mentoring a team of professional and technical staff assigned on a project basis;
•	Business development, including liaising with clients and stakeholders with the goal of building and maintaining strong working relationships.

Qualifications:

•	University degree in Geological, Geotechnical or Civil Engineering with a minimum of seven (7) years relevant experience in a consulting environment as a senior project manager. A post graduate degree is highly desirable;
•	Willing to work extended and irregular hours within western Canada;
•	Currently registered or eligible to register as a Professional Engineer;
•	Ability to work on multiple projects and meet established deadlines;
•	Effective interpersonal skills, a strong client-service focus and the ability to work in a team environment are essential;
•	Strong report writing and verbal communication skills in the English language; and
•	Valid driver's licence with a clean driving abstract.
