Lab Technician

MDH Engineered Solutions Corp., member of SNC-Lavalin Group (TSX:SNC), is an engineering consulting firm providing solutions to geoenvironmental, geotechnical, hydrogeological, and environmental problems. We have offices in Saskatoon, Regina, Prince Albert, Edmonton, Fort McMurray, and Esterhazy. Research, generation of new knowledge, and development of new technology provide the edge that keeps the company involved in major projects in Canada and internationally. The nature of our project experience spans mining, industrial, and municipal waste management, hydrogeology, geology and water resource studies, natural resource development, and environmental protection.

We are currently seeking a Lab Technician to join the team in Saskatoon.

The Lab Technician will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the testing process at our Saskatoon Lab.

Qualifications:

•	Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent experience.
•	CSA/CCIL Certification for Asphalt, Concrete or soils as asset
•	Well developed interpersonal, motivational and organizational and team skills.
•	General knowledge of soil classification.
•	Knowledge of ASTM soil testing procedures.
•	Attention to detail and problem solving.

Job Duties:

•	Sample preparation;
•	Conducting various tests in accordance with ASTM on soil, asphalt, concrete and aggregates;
•	Entering test data.
•	Cleaning, maintenance and calibration of laboratory testing equipment.
