MDH is currently recruiting Intermediate Geotechnical Engineers for Saskatoon, Regina, Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver..
|

|
The successful candidates will play a key role in leading geotechnical projects and assignments related to the oil sands industry, mining and transportation. The incumbent will provide overall supervision and coordination of field staff, and training of junior geotechnical engineers and technicians.
|
| |
Responsibilities of the Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer include, but may not be limited to:

Preparation of technical proposals and reports; |
| • |
Conducting field work; |
| • |
Project management; |
| • |
Data acquisition and processing; and, |
| • |
Design, planning, and managing a wide variety of geotechnical investigations programs and assignments of various magnitudes. |

The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
| • |
University graduate with degree in civil engineering, with emphasis in geotechnical engineering. A Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering is preferred; |
| • |
Minimum of five years relevant industry experience since graduation in providing practical geotechnical engineering related services; |
| • |
Currently registered as a P.Eng or eligible for registration; |
| • |
A sound base in the application of geotechnical engineering to problem solving; |
| • |
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; |
| • |
Valid driver's license; and, |
| • |
Working knowledge of various geotechnical instrumentation is considered an asset. |
